All consignments will be considered.

Trade-ins are also welcome. We usually give two-thirds (or sometimes more) of the original price back on trade-in instruments and bows purchased here if they are in the same condition as when we sold them, barring normal usage. If you have an instrument or bow that was not originally sold to you by us, we will also be happy to consider it for trade-in.

Charles Nicolas Bazin made this bow (and others) for Joseph Hel of Lille, France (a respected violin maker and dealer from 1865 to 1902).  It is a fine classic French violin bow made and is branded "J.Hel" on each side of the shaft. The ebony frog is nickel-silver mounted and weighs 58.5 grams. The slide and back plate are of pearl.  The strong, round, pernambuco shaft also has the flexibility to draw a fine tone. $6000

This bow was made by Franz Albert Nurnberger Jr. of Markneukirchen circa 1910. It is in very fine condition. It is well-branded with the maker's name and is also branded "Germany" under the handle. It is a very fine round pernambuco violin bow and has a fully silver-mounted ebony frog. The weight is 58 grams with French silver tinsel winding in the finger grip. The bow is very well balanced and has a strong shaft with the right amount of flexibility. It draws an exceptional sound. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from James Warren of Kenneth Warren and Son of Chicago. The certificate has full description and photos. $6000
